Metaphysics in Words

Metaphysics, a realm profound and deep,

Where questions dwell that make our minds leap,

Beyond the tangible, into the abstract,

It ponders the nature of reality, a mental map.

Within metaphysics’ vast expanse,

Existential queries take their chance,

What is the essence that makes us whole?

Are we but mere vessels, or eternal souls?

From Plato’s forms to Descartes’ “I think”,

Ideas clash, creating a mental link,

Is reality objective, or subjective in kind?

Do we shape perceptions, or are we confined?

The nature of time, an enigma untamed,

Does it flow like a river, forever unnamed?

Is it a construct, a lens to perceive,

Or a constant illusion, for us to believe?

And what of causality, the chain of events,

Do actions spawn reactions, or coincidence presents?

Are we bound by fate, or do choices abound,

In shaping our destinies, as they astound?

We ponder on consciousness, elusive and rare,

What makes us aware, if thoughts we can share?

Does it emerge from matter, a product complex,

Or a separate entity, divinely perplexed?

Metaphysics delves into the nature of being,

Are we more than physical, in realms unseen?

The mind-body problem, a puzzle profound,

Where neurons ignite, and consciousness is found.

As we journey through metaphysical space,

Exploring questions with an open embrace,

We seek understanding, a glimpse of truth,

In the realms beyond, where infinite paths sleuth.

Metaphysics, a captivating quest,

Challenging boundaries, putting our minds to the test,

It stirs our curiosity, igniting the flame,

To explore existence, and the worlds it became.
