Rain-Streaked Eyes

A Symphony of Absentees

A girl with rain-filled eyes,

waiting for a father who never returned,

a childhood funeral within piano notes.

.

In the writer’s sanctuary,

a youth’s secrets penned in a hidden diary,

all met upon a cloud of dust.

.

What if? Something shattered.

An 11-year-old’s resurgence,

the cotton princess endured the tear-stained pages.

.

Am I in death or within psychoanalysis?

The rain persists, questioning my existence.

Lovers amidst Israel’s acclaim,

as dementia’s grasp tightens.

Rain lingers in her eyes, a silent lament.

In the silent voices of my heart, I walk alone, where shadows weep and dreams lay shattered, like remnants of a storm long past.
