Shadows of Midnight’s Song
In the midnight moonlight, rowdy blues harass the horses,
My wishes for a baby’s birth are held in suspended forces.
Lonesome blues in this time of dying,
Despite all the damage, the buzzing of the wind keeps lying.
The house of the rising sun plays its gloomy tune,
Junkie songs repeat in the shadows of the room.
While Reuben, the dog, sings a melancholy melody,
Ships await their fate out on the endless sea.
Waiting around to die, a mystery unfolds,
Secrets buried deep within stories untold.
In the silence of the night, an insubstantial cry,
Echoes of a haunting past drift by.
