Online learning, learning analytics, and AI-driven personalised education sound revolutionary and promise a more inclusive, tailor-made educational experience. Still, it’s essential to ponder whether it’s leading us to distance human teachers and self-dependent learning. Beg the question, isn’t the teacher-student interaction a vital part of education that no technology can replace?
Also, we live in an age of information overload where every possible ebook, video lecture, or practice quiz is just a click away. However, does more information mean better knowledge? There is a thin line between empowering students with resources and overwhelming them with copious information.
Moreover, we as a society cannot ignore the existence of the digital divide. Fostering a system increasingly reliant on technology risks creating a chasm between those who have access to digital tools and those who don’t.
